What have you been up to?

Hi everyone! What have you all been up to? It has been so busy here. The final year of home school lessons begin next week. Summer has flown by. There is still so much that hasn't been done. Only one class and one "other" craft project has been completed and so much outdoor work has not even been started. But lots of other stuff has been done so it hasn't been a complete loss. I am almost finished writing my first book! I hope to have it uploaded to Kindle by October or November. Hopefully early fall will bring the cooler, dryer days I need to complete some of these unfinished outdoor activities. Two and one half months isn't as much time as it sounds when you have so much to do in that amount of time. It has been great anyway.

Was anyone else hit by the bad weather yesterday? There was a tornado touchdown about three miles from our house. Video confirmed that one. We're still waiting for confirmation of other possible tornadoes in our region. News stations said our area was hit the hardest after extending their search in about a 100 mile radius I would guess. We even made news on The Weather Channel which is very unusual. Living in the Tennessee valley, we don't see many tornadoes though. However, it was only a little over three years ago when another confirmed tornado touched down about five or six miles from our house.

I thought I should catch up on a few things that have been going on around the house. There is never a dull moment. I hope all of you have had a nice summer.
