Separate Cross Stitch Floss Colors with a Punch Card

Before you begin a cross stitch project, separate the colors of your floss. To do this, I like to punch holes in a strip of paper or cardboard as shown below.

After the holes are punched, I add the color number of the floss to the top and the chart symbols at the bottom of each hole. The symbol is helpful when I am stitching from the chart and the number is helpful if I need to add more floss to the holes. Add the appropriate floss as you fill in the punch card.
