Bed Runner Quilt

Here is one of the pretty bed runners that I'm making from some of my birthday stash.  I'm machine quilting it with random straight stitches. You can easily see the diamond pattern in the center sections. The blue sections are quilted with opposite diagonal stitches. The rest of the quilt is marked with a few simple straight stitches. I feel like this will give the quilt eye-roaming appeal. Soon I will begin practicing free motion quilting. It will take some time to get the hang of that but I really want to be able to do that with small quilts like this in the future.
